Peter received his undergraduate degree from Emory University College in 1987 and his law degree from Emory University School of Law in 1992. During law school, Peter worked in the Fulton County District Attorney's Office. After gaining valuable trial experience, Peter decided to open his own litigation firm to protect the rights of individuals charged with committing crimes and also to fight for those who have been injured as a result of someone else's negligence.

Since 1992, Peter has represented thousands of clients in various types of criminal cases. Peter has successfully tried numerous felony and misdemeanor cases in State, Superior and Federal Courts throughout the State of Georgia.
